Youth Clubs

A HANDS ON MUSICAL EXPERIENCE

Our work in youth clubs gives each participant a hands on musical experience that gives them the opportunity to develop an interest in music, work in groups and develop as musicians as their self-esteem and confidence develops. The youth club music workshops we offer are outlined in detail below

OUR WORKSHOPS ARE GREAT BECAUSE THEY:

Give young people an opportunity to explore their musical interests.

Develop each participants musical awareness and ability.

Give young people an opportunity to perform as part of a music ensemble.

Let’s Drum

Through games, activities and performing, our drumming workshops allow students to explore the percussion family, develop their understanding of rhythm and improve their rhythmical ability, whilst performing as part of a drumming ensemble. Our drumming workshops incorporate station learning and ensure that each student gets an opportunity to perform on a range of instruments. Let’s Drum workshops culminate in an end-of-workshop performance that combines the different rhythms and activities covered during the session together.

Each Workshop Aims to:
  • give young people an opportunity to learn about and perform on a range of drums and percussion instruments
  • develop each participants ability to listen, follow instruction and work as a part of team
  • give each participants the opportunity to learn about and perform a range of rhythms from around the world that culminates in an end of workshop
    performance

Let's Sing

Our activity based singing workshops explore the voice through interactive activities; investigate the importance of breathing and posture; develop each participants aural awareness and ability to project themselves. Let’s Sing workshops incorporate a strong sense of team work, confidence building and positivity as the students work towards an end of workshop performance of the material covered.

Each Workshop Aims to:
  • explore the sounds of the voice and professional singing technique
  • develop each student’s ability to listen, follow instruction and work as a part of team
  • give every child the opportunity to perform in a group performance that culminates in bringing all of the material covered and skills developed
    together
