Let’s Drum
This workshop is perfect for helping children explore the excitement of percussion while developing their timing, rhythm and general awareness of the world of music while allowing them to play a range of drums and percussion instruments. These workshops cover rhythms and patterns commonly heard in African and Samba drumming or modern music. During a workshop, every child gets the opportunity to perform on a range of different instruments, with each workshop culminating in an end-of-workshop performance.
Aims:
- Provide the opportunity to learn about and perform on various drums and percussion instruments.
- Give children the opportunity to learn about the importance of the beat.
- Give children the opportunity to learn about and perform a range of rhythms suitable for their class group, culminating in a group performance.
Learn & Explore
Your children can start their musical journey by exploring rhythm, singing, musical games, music-making activities, and more.
Based on the three core strands of the primary school music curriculum, Learn & Explore workshops develop a set of transferable musical skills in every child that they can utilise when they begin to learn a musical instrument.
Aims:
- Introduce children to the world of music.
- Give children the opportunity to play various types of instruments.
- Cover the three core strands of the music curriculum in a way that is fun and engaging for your students.
