Here at the Mobile Music School, we think it’s really important to have high quality music resources for primary schools. As primary schools have finished up for the summer, with many delivering their own summer camps, we thought it only fitting that we shared some fun songs for summer camps.

Music Resources for Primary Schools: Fun Songs for Summer Camps

  1. What Time is It? – High School Musical

This song is a fun, upbeat song, sure to get all children excited for their summer holidays! High School Musical is really popular with children, and upbeat numbers like this one really lift the spirits of the class. You could even choreograph a dance to this song that the children could perform together!

2. Can’t Stop the Feeling- Justin Timerblake

This song, from Dreamworks Trolls, is a real crowd pleaser, and sure to get everyone moving! A fun, rhythmic number-you could definitely incorporate an element of body percussion into the singing.

3. Happy-Pharrell Williams

A definite classic, this is an energetic and lively song that will definitely lift the room. The children could form their own choreography, and you could divide the chorus into two groups, teaching the children call and response.

 

4. Don’t Worry Be Happy- Bobby McFerrin

This song is really cheerful and positive, and is sure to be a hit with the children. Why not challenge the children, and see if anyone can whistle?
