This summer, the Mobile Music School had the pleasure of working with Cavan County Council to organise a ‘Learn & Explore’ music workshop for the children in Bailieborough Library. Mobile Music tutor Filipa had a fun-filled day with the group, packed with energetic music activities and games.

‘Learn & Explore’ Music Workshop

The aim of these activity-based workshop was to explore the world of music-making. Through interactive games and hands-on learning, the children learned new musical skills and explored the world of music.

With every music lesson we deliver, our goal is to fuel students’ creativity with engaging content.

New Musical Skills

Throughout the music sessions, children discovered that music tells a story. With the help of our experienced tutor, Filipa, they explored the role of the conductor and investigated the importance of percussion. The children particularly enjoyed learning about dynamics, tempo, mood, the beat and rhythm. Combining all of their new musical skills and knowledge, the groups then learned and performed some upbeat songs together.
