Here at the Mobile Music School, we offer Guitar lessons for schools as part of our Group Instrumental Tuition for secondary schools, and our Group Instrumental Programmes for primary schools. These child-centred music lessons aim to improve each pupil’s technical and musical ability in a fun and calm environment.
Our Guitar Tutors
We ensure that all of our tutors are garda-vetted and highly experienced in teaching large class groups, taking the pressure of teaching music off teachers. Driven to inspire students’ passion for music, our trusted tutors ensure each music lesson involves hands-on, activity-based learning.
Guitar Lessons for Schools
In our Guitar lessons, students will first learn how to read Guitar TAB. Our tutors also teach students how to read Chord Boxes and Chord Charts. Once the basics are covered, they will then be taught to read music for the Guitar. With this accomplished, students are then able to play along to the pop songs they know and love, in a fun and encouraging environment.
Throughout these music lessons, tutors also demonstrate how to master rhythm, which is a fundamental aspect of guitar playing. With this, students learn different finger-styles, increasing their dexterity.
Over the years, schools have found that these classes are a great way of expanding one’s knowledge of their instrument, as well as building confidence when it comes to performing.
We have had the pleasure of delivering guitar lessons as part of our afterschool music programmes for schools such as:
-Esker Educate Together NS
-Donabate Girls NS
