This term, we had an amazing time delivering music programmes and workshops for schools nationwide! We were extremely busy, and our brilliant tutors were on the go non-stop! Check out some of our highlights of Term 2 below!

Workshops for Schools: Term 2 Highlights

Seachtain na Gaeilge:

This term, we delivered our annual Seachtain na Gaeilge workshops for schools, from February 28th to March 16th. For Seachtain na Gaeilge, we worked in 7 schools, in 75 classes, with 2100 pupils, across 5 counties!

New Tutors:

This term, we welcomed new tutors Lizzie O’Neill, Ian Kinsella, and Paul Hensey to our team! They’ve been a great addition to our team, and we’ve been blessed to have them on board with us!

Live Music Performance Workshops:

We also developed some brand new Live Music Performance workshops as part of Seachtain na Gaeilge. Two of our exceptionally talented musicians from the Orchestra played traditional Irish Music on instruments in the gaelscoilanna. Further, the musicians explained all about their instruments to the children, who were absolutely delighted!

Schools visited:

We had a bumper term, and as a result, we worked in 42 schools, across 17 counties. We also delivered 17 short programmes, and 34 workshop days with 221 classes. Further, we also did workshops in 4 libraries! We were delighted to be kept so busy, and we’re extremely grateful to every school who worked with us over the term!

Louth Library Video Programme:

This term, our fantastic tutor Sophie recorded an online video programme for Louth Library. Sophie recorded ten video lessons for the library, based on a book theme, and incorporating lots of musical skills, games and activities!
