Let’s Drum

Through games, activities and performing, our drumming workshops allow students to explore the percussion family, develop their understanding of the beat and improve their rhythmical ability, whilst performing as part of a drumming ensemble. Our JCSP drumming workshops incorporate station learning and ensure that each student gets an opportunity to perform on a range of instruments. Each Let’s Drum workshop culminates in an end-of-workshop performance that combines the material covered during the session together.

Each Workshop Aims to:
  • give students an opportunity to learn about and perform on a range of drums and percussion instruments
  • develop each students ability to listen, follow instruction and work as part of a team
  • give students the opportunity to learn about and perform a range of rhythms from around the world that culminates in an end of workshop performance

Let's Sing

Our activity based JCSP singing workshop explores the voice through interactive activities; investigates the importance of breathing and posture; develops each student’s aural awareness, and develops each students ability to project themselves. Let’s Sing secondary school workshops incorporate a strong sense of team work, confidence building and positivity as the students work towards an end of workshop performance of the material covered during the session.

Each Workshop Aims to:
  • explore the sounds of the voice and professional singing technique
  • develop each student’s ability to listen, follow instruction and work as a part of team
  • give every child the opportunity to perform in an ensemble that culminates in bringing all of the material covered and skills developed together

Let's Perform

Out fun based JCSP musical theatre workshop gives students a glimpse into the world of musical theatre that integrates music with drama and movement. Let’s Perform focuses on instilling personal confidence and self-esteem in students, develops musical skills, and improves each student’s ability to work in teams. Let’s Perform culminates in an end of workshop performance with the students performing a short section from a well-known musical.

Each Workshop Aims to:
  • develop self-expression and self-confidence through music, drama and movement
  • develop each student’s ability to listen, follow instruction and work as a part of team
  • give every child the opportunity to perform in an ensemble that culminates in bringing all of the material covered and skills developed together

Mobile Music was fantastic! They supplied all the instruments and the students learned different rhythms and performed together. Student feedback was brilliant, very enjoyable afternoon, highly recommended.

Helen McHughMusic Teacher, Collinstown Park Community College

The Mobile Music School provided a great activity for all of our 3rd year and TY students. It was a high energy event and all students were given an opportunity to lead the group exercises. Everyone got a chance to use the full range of percussion instruments that was available on the day.
