Conor McCarthy, one of the newest additions to our team of tutors, is getting on great with his piano students in Rockford Manor.

“Rockford Manor’s music room is every teacher’s dream”, says Conor.

Students have the opportunity to practice on the upright piano as well as the grand piano. Not only does using the grand piano help develop the students’ technique on a good quality piano, but the students can also appreciate the amazing sound produced when they perform on the piano themselves.

We are delighted to welcome students back to piano lessons after not playing for some time. As well as tutoring returning piano players, Conor is also working with a student who plans on doing Piano for her Junior Cert practical exam.

September’s piano lessons began by discussing the pupils’ previous experience with piano playing as well as their music knowledge. By doing some warm-ups and revising musical concepts with Do-Re-Mi, it didn’t take long for our students to get back into the swing of things. It’s so rewarding for our tutors to see the students progressing so well, week-on-week.
