Here at the Mobile Music School, we deliver high quality music performances for children nationwide. Culture night is fast approaching, and this means our ‘Trad Sessions’ workshops are back!

What is Culture Night?

Culture Night / Oíche Chultúir is brought to you by the Arts Council; it is a national moment, celebrating culture, creativity and the arts and seeks to actively promote the belief that this rich and varied culture is alive, treasured and nurtured in people’s lives, today and every day.  It is delivered nationwide in cities, towns, villages and rural locations as well as online and through our media partners. Performances for Children- Our ‘Trad Sessions’ Workshops

Our ‘Trad Sessions’ workshops are engaging and interactive live music sessions, that immerse children into the magic of Irish music and culture. This year, the focus for these workshops is on a range of different Irish instruments, with two musicians bringing in a variety of different traditional Irish instruments. During these sessions, our musicians play for the children across a range of traditional Irish instruments. These instruments include the guitar, banjo, whistles, flute, concertina and more! The repertoire includes a mix of songs and pieces of music that introduce the children to Irish traditional music. These renditions also give the children the opportunity to clap, sing and move along. Further, as part of the content the children from 1st class up will learn the song Oró Sé Do Bheatha Baile.

We are so excited to be back with our Trad Sessions, and this Culture Night is set to be the best one yet!
