Here at the Mobile Music School, we are probably most well known for our one-off workshops. However we also deliver music programmes for primary schools nationwide. The great thing about these programmes is that because they occur weekly, the children are building upon and developing the concepts they learn each week, establishing a solid musical foundation for the future. These music programmes for primary schools prove to be extremely popular each year, with us delivering 25 programmes nationwide in 2021/22 alone! Our programmes can either be short programmes, which are 6 or 10 week blocks, or classroom music programmes, which are 30 week blocks- for the duration of the school year.

Ukulele

music programmes for primary schools

Our Ukulele programme is very popular with primary schools, and it’s easy to see why! The ukulele is a simple, versatile instrument, used in many modern pop songs. It’s inexpensive, portable and fun, and as a result, is usually a firm favorite with children. Our Ukulele programme aims to teach children how to be technically and musically proficient in playing the ukulele. Children will learn how to perform as part of an ensemble, and will even learn how to read music notation. Ukulele classes incorporate set material that the children need to learn to become proficient musicians. The classes also incorporate choice materials such as current pop songs.

We offer Ukulele as both a short or long term programme. Please note that the Mobile Music School do not provide Ukuleles.
