The Mobile Music School would like to introduce, and welcome, its newest member of staff – Éadaoin Copeland. Éadaoin will be teaching piano and will be our ‘Little Musicians’ tutor.
Éadaoin currently studies piano with Professor Réamonn Keary and accompaniment with Dearbhla Brosnan in the Royal Irish Academy of Music, having previously studied piano with Patricia Kavanagh. In 2012 she completed the full-time Diploma in Music Teaching and Performance in the Royal Irish Academy of Music (RIAM) with first class-honours. Éadaoin also recently graduated from Trinity College Dublin with a first-class honours degree in Neuroscience.
Éadaoin performed Schumann’s piano concerto in A minor with Trinity Orchestra in Christ Church Cathedral Dublin in December 2014 and in St. Salvátor Church, Prague in January 2015. She is a multiple prize winner at various competitions including the RIAM Piano Festival and Feis Ceoil. Éadaoin has participated in masterclasses with acclaimed pianists including Christopher Elton, Evelyne Brancart and Leon McCawley. She also studied at Chetham’s International Piano Summer School in Manchester in 2013. Éadaoin has a keen interest in chamber music and accompanying, and has received coaching from distinguished musicians such as Iain Burnside, Robert Kulek and Sara Bryans.
Éadaoin plays in a number of orchestras including Trinity Orchestra, the RIAM Symphony and Chamber Orchestras and the Hibernian Orchestra on both piano and viola. Éadaoin has performed with these orchestras in various venues throughout Ireland, as well as Berlin, Budapest and London.
We think Éadaoin will be a fantastic addition to our team, and we look forward to working with her!
