Recorder in the Classroom is one of the many classroom music programmes for primary schools that we offer. These classroom music projects are based on the three core strands of the NCCA music curriculum and are suitably planned and structured for each class group.
Recorder Lessons for Primary Schools
Our recorder programme for primary schools is a simple and affordable way for schools to introduce students to the world of music and to develop a successful music programme with tangible results.
Recorder in the Classroom enables schools to offer weekly music classes taken by a specialist tutor. With enjoyable music and backing tracks, our classes aim to develop the technical and musical abilities of pupils, whilst allowing their musical awareness, confidence and self-esteem to grow.
Back to school
September music lessons involve lots of clapping games with each class to strengthen rhythmic awareness. These music lessons are always full of fun for the pupils as they are encouraged to actively participate in the music-making process. Over the next few weeks, our tin whistle students will develop a strong sense of rhythm, and focus on really listening to each other when they play as an ensemble.
We are looking forward to seeing the pupils’ confidence grow week-on-week. Over the years we have learned that students love playing on their own for the class and performing in front of each other. Some of the kids are so keen that they even go home and learn tunes on their own for the following class!
Our Professional Recorder Tutor
Meet Eliza, our professional recorder tutor. This is Eliza’s second year working with the Mobile Music School, teaching recorder lessons for primary schools. Garda-vetted and highly experienced, Eliza is dedicated to inspiring a passion for music in children. Her years of experience has equipped her with unique and innovative methodologies for teaching the highest quality of music education.
Here at the Mobile Music School, our hands-on approach to learning ensures that each music lesson is delivered in a child-centred manner. Eliza ensures that each music lesson is fun-based and interactive for the students. We believe music education should be taught in an open, relaxing, non-pressurized environment so that students can feel confident expressing themselves.
