When it comes to educational workshops, the Mobile Music School ensures all students are immersed in a highly energetic, fun-filled music-making session. Whether it’s a singing, musical theatre or drumming workshop, we have something to suit every school. Moreover, our workshops are interactive, fun and educational, and are designed to spark a lifelong interest in music for pupils.
Here are the workshops we are currently offering for the year 2019-20:
Preschools and Primary Schools:
Let’s Drum
Through games, activities and performing, our drumming workshops allow primary school students to explore the percussion family. We aim to develop their understanding of rhythm and improve their rhythmical ability, whilst performing as part of a drumming ensemble.
Let’s Sing
These creative singing workshops explore the voice through games and activities. During these activities. students investigate the importance of breathing and posture whilst singing and each pupil’s aural awareness is developed.
Let’s Perform
These Musical theatre sessions give students a glimpse into musical theatre. Commencing with team building ‘ice-breaker’ activities, vocal warm ups and improvisation activities, students go on to discover the importance of breathing, vocal technique, drama and movement.
Let’s Explore
Available as a one day or three-part workshop these sessions aim to increase every child’s ability, awareness and understanding of the world of music. During classes, students discover that music tells a story. With the help of our professional tutors, they explore the role of the conductor and investigate the importance of percussion. Pupils also learn about dynamics, tempo, mood, the beat and rhythm. Students learn and perform songs, compose music using set sounds and also play along to music.
