The wonderful junior and senior infants students of Marist Primary School got off to a great start on their violin journey, with the help of Mobile Music tutor Cathy, who is delivering our ‘Violin in the Classroom’ programme to the children each week.

Throughout the course of the programme, Cathy has been covering the basics of the violin and its different parts. Some classroom exercises include ‘Heads, Shoulders, Knees and Toes’ violin-style and ‘Time, Rest and Play’. Our senior infants groups are showing great progress with their violin tasks, and are improving week-on-week.

We are excited to announce that the school will be holding two in-house concerts for violin classes next month. The concerts will take place in the hall on June 8th for peer groups; the first show will take place in the morning for 1st, 3rd & 5th classes, and the second show will be held in the afternoon for 1st, 2nd & 4th classes.

Both junior and senior infants groups have been working hard in preparation for their performance next month. We can’t wait to watch them perform!

The Mobile Music School is now taking bookings for our 2016/17 courses. If you wish to enquire about any of our music workshops or programmes, please contact Shay on 087 299 5666 or email us at
