‘Recorder in the Classroom’ has been a huge success since the commencement of our programme in after school and crèche settings, as well as primary schools.

The class groups in Rainbow Day Care have really developed their aural skills with the help of tutor, Darren Hatch, by learning all about the beat and rhythm of music.

Students have also been focusing on their breathing control. They’ve learnt how to make nice, clear sounds with their recorder through breathing control techniques.

The past few lessons have seen students learning their first tunes such as Mary Had a Little Lamb, using music notation.

We’re looking forward to see students’ progress throughout the year as their music skills continue to improve.
