The Mobile Music School is delighted to announce that Shay, its founder, has been nominated for Ireland’s Best Young Entrepreneur (IBYE). IBYE is a competition conducted through the Local Enterprise Offices of each local authority and is open to entrepreneurs aged between 18 and 30.

The contest is a central part of the government’s Action Plan for Jobs and has a total fund of €2 million nationally. Regional and national winners will receive both a cash prize and access to mentoring services to further expand their businesses. The ultimate aim of the initiative is to support a culture of entrepreneurship among young people in Ireland, to promote entrepreneurship as a career choice, and to encourage Ireland’s young people to set up new businesses which will ultimately create jobs.

Finalists are assessed by a County Assessment Panel, which consists of a minimum of three judges from the Local Enterprise Office, on such things as the company profile, the potential to deliver economic impacts and business innovation. Shay will be attending an IBYE bootcamp at the beautiful Druid’s Glen on Sunday and Monday. Please join the MMS staff in congratulating him on his success in getting this far and in wishing him the very best of luck!
