During the month of December, the Mobile Music School were invited to deliver a series of drumming workshops for primary school students in Dundalk.

Funded by Oriel School Completion’s Majella O’Hanlon, and booked by home school liaison officer Áine Uí Chóinne, the children across both St Nicholas’ NS and Gaelscoil Dhún Dealgáin had great fun learning about the percussion instruments and performing as part of a drumming circle.

In total we worked with 11 classes from junior infants to sixth class, spread across two days and two locations. By the end of the workshop each class were able to perform a drumming routine, which they had learned and mastered during their workshop.
